Nine bronze dolphins have been hidden in strategic spots among the beauty of historic downtown Beaufort. Refer to the clues and map provided to stroll among the historic locations and play hide-and-seek with these creatures of the sea. Be careful, some are hidden on the ground, some are at eye level. They are clever so don't let them out-wit you.

The river it crosses, Sit on a swing, Simply follow your feet,
Between the grey mosses, Perhaps you could sing, Stroll toward Charles Street,
Sometimes it pauses, Where tides are king, There you will meet,
Closed by its bosses. Big ships it will bring. Beaufort's little fleet.

My graveyard is quite clean, A dolphin named Ben, Peek-a-boo through the brick wall,
With tall steeple of green, Found room at the Inn, My sasanguas are sweet and small,
Look here first, Look for his fin, The historic house is quite tall,

Loves the military, You'll find a mermaid there, He's a different caliber,
A surround of yellow wall, Boxwood hedges form a square, One day on a lark,
Is Beaufort's Arsenal. Sit a spell and take rest there. He went to Cannon Park.
