Yemassee ~ Shrimp Festival

The town of Yemassee has hosted the area’s first and original Shrimp Festival of Yemassee in 1993. Decades later, the town still works hard through volunteers to provide a family-friendly festival remembering the beginnings and those who helped the festival arrive to where it is today. The town’s goal remains to have the festival reflect upon where the festival began, and how it progressed through to today. Providing history and fun to residents and visitors is the ultimate goal.
