Come out for a wonderful performance by Evolution Big Band! Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Beaufort Arts Council.
The 18-piece all-volunteer Evolution Big Band, which features Beaufort Arts Council Chairman Jeff Shawd on lead trumpet, is regarded as one of the top big bands in the region. Its mission is to support local charitable causes by performing contemporary arrangements of big band music at concerts, dances and private events. Proceeds this year support The Beaufort Arts Council, the Lowcountry Youth Jazz Foundation, and the Lowcountry Foundation for Military Heroes. Since its founding in 2004, the band has raised more than $150,000 for non-profit organizations in the area.
