To kickoff Historic Beaufort Foundation’s “A Sea Island Lady Celebration”, Mollie Barnes, PhD. will be featured at the September 25th Verdier House Dinner & a Lecture with the topic “Reading Nineteenth-Century Beaufort in Francis Griswold’s A Sea Island Lady.” She is an English professor at USC-B and teaches a course on historical novels published in the first half of the 20th century which includes A Sea Island Lady.
The Dinner & a Lecture is 5:30 at the Verdier House for wine and hors d’oeuvres with the lecture 6 p.m.-7 p.m.
Admission for members is $15/$25 per member/couple.
Non-member admission is $20/$30 per person/couple.
