Archaeology Dig at Pockoy Island Shell Ring
Botany Bay Wildlife Management Area

The archaeological excavation at Pockoy Island Shell Rings located on Botany Bay Plantation Heritage Preserve/Wildlife Management Area will take place from Monday, May 6 – Friday, May 24, 2019 (with the exception of Sundays and Tuesdays when the site is closed to the public).

The public can volunteer at the site between the hours of 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. All ages are welcome, and registration is not required.

People can also take part in guided tours at 10 a.m, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Registration is not required for tours. Each tour will be approximately 45 minutes.
