Edisto Island Historic Preservation Society’s Lecture Series – Tuesday, March 5th at 7:00 p.m. “”If Only I Had Known: Avoiding Beginner’s Mistakes in Genealogy Research”, presented by Toni Carrier, Director of the Center for Family History at the International African American Museum in Charleston. She is also the founder of Lowcountry Africana, which is a free on-line resource dedicated to African American genealogy and history in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be held in the historic sanctuary of the New First Missionary Baptist Church (1644 Hwy. 178).
