Brick House was built in 1725 by Paul Hamilton. It was purchased by Joseph Jenkins in 1798 and has been in the care of the Jenkins family ever since. The house burned in 1929 yet the ruins still stand today. Because of their historic significance the ruins were put on the National Register in 1970. The ruins are deteriorating and we are raising funds towards the stabilization of the ruins. We invite you to join us for an oyster roast under the oaks beside the ruins. Please help us with the monumental undertaking of preserving a key part of our heritage. Tickets are $35. This is a BYOB Rain or Shine Event. Bring a hearty appetite and a lawn chair.
ALL PROCEEDS go straight to help stabilize the ruins of Brick House Plantation.
