The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Dr. Matthew Sanger on Thursday, August 3 from 4-5 pm. Of particular interest to Dr. Sanger is the Sea Pines Shell Ring, a site that is estimated to date around 4,000 years ago, making it one of the oldest Native American sites on Hilton Head Island. Dr. Sanger and his students from Binghamton University have worked at various archaeological sites on Hilton Head Island during summer field schools in 2015 and 2017.
This is a no charge, no reservations, first come, first seated program. This program is geared for ages 12 and older. www.coastaldiscovery.org
