Batiking at the Coastal Discovery Museum

The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Stella-lee Anderson on May 12 from 5:30-7:30 pm for
this “Discovery Night”. Batik is a process of using melted wax to create a dye resistant design
on fabric. You will learn the art of batiking and use the paintbrush technique of applying wax and
indigo dye to create your own unique artwork. No prior experience required to enjoy this
evening of learning and creating. If you are familiar with batiking and lave your own stamps or
wood cutouts, you are welcome to bring them. Adults are welcome to bring wine to enjoy while
creating.
Cost is $40 per person (no children under the age of 7 please). Reservations can be made by

The museum is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.
