Carolina Wetlands: Climate Change and Resiliency

The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Rick Savage on December 16 at 2 pm for the program.  Rick is from the Carolina Wetlands Association and will speak on the various types of wetlands in the Carolinas, efforts to protect them, and how they are impacted by climate change.  The Carolina Wetlands Association, based in North Carolina, works with communities to restore wetlands, create community resilience and environmental equity to mitigate climate change effects.
The cost for the program is $7 in person, or $5 for virtual viewing.  Reservations are required and may be made by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223.  The museum is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island and is open Monday through Saturday from 9-4 and Sunday from 11-3.
