Hilton Head ~ Discovery Lecture Series January 19

The Northern Sky
The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Captain Tom Anderson on January 19 at 2 pm. as part
of the Discovery Lecture Series. From nacreous clouds to the aurora borealis, the northern sky
contains many unusual meteorological and astronomical phenomena. Many of these
fascinating displays of light and color can be seen only in the higher latitudes of the far north.
Anderson spent his childhood in a coastal city adjacent to a large seaport, where he became
fascinated with the maritime environment at an early age. Most of his professional career
required him to live and work on, around, or under the sea.
The cost is $7, and reservations may be made by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223. The museum
is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.
