Life on the High Seas and in the Lowcountry: The Story of Henry Hartstene

The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Mary Socci on March 16 at 2 pm for this program.
Socci is Palmetto Bluff’s archaeologist since 2004 and will speak on Henry Hartstene, an
antebellum resident of Beaufort. She will discuss his naval career, his plantations at Palmetto
Bluff, and a surprising connection to the White House.
Cost is $7 per person and reservations are required by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223. The
Coastal Discovery Museum is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.
