Right Whales – Our Coastal Visitors
Join us at the Coastal Discovery Museum on March 4 at 2 pm as we learn about Right Whales. Professor Michael Williamson will introduce Right Whales and the current status and research on this species. The effects of climate change on this species will also be discussed.
Williamson has been active in education and research for over 40 years. He founded WhaleNet in 1993 to excite students about math, science, the environment, and technology (STEM). He is also vice-president of the Mingan Island Cetacean Study, which has conducted the longest continuous research on blue whales in the world.

The Museum is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.
