Shrek the Musical follows the story of Shrek, a grumpy but good- hearted ogre who enjoys his solitude in a swamp—until his peace is disrupted when a group of fairy-tale creatures is suddenly exiled there by the short-tempered Lord Farquaad. Determined to reclaim his home, Shrek strikes a deal with Farquaad to rescue Princess Fiona, who has been locked in a tower guarded by a dragon.
