Hilton Head ~ Sweetgrass Wreath Making Classes at Honey Horn

The Coastal Discovery Museum has announced a  class this Winter on Saturdays starting December 2 from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm.  A local 7^th generation Gullah basket maker will teach this special holiday class and you’ll have a chance to make a decorative Sweetgrass wreath on your own using locally found natural materials.  You will hear the history of the Sweetgrass basket, one of the Lowcountry’s best known art forms.  Other classes will be held on December 16 and 23.
The class is $65 per person and reservations are required by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223.  The Museum is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.
