The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Washi Tape Creations on April 7 from 5-7:30 pm with
Lennie Ciliento. You will create your own piece of original art using Japanese washi tape.
Washi tape is made from rice paper and an adhesive. Participants will learn basic layering,
shaping, and cutting techniques which will enable them to independently create one-of-a-kind
washi tape art. The workshop will focus on helping you develop techniques to create original
Lowcountry wildlife washi tape art.
Whether you are an artist yourself or have never heard of washi tape before, come and enjoy
learning and creating! All supplies included. Adults are welcome to bring wine to enjoy while
creating.
Cost is $40 per person/no children under the age of 7 please, and reservations are required by
calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223. The museum is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head
Island.
