Spend time aboard Spartina with Captain Amber for a scientific expedition on the beautiful Chechessee River. With little development on its banks, the Chechessee offers a largely untouched landscape with plentiful wildlife. Seasonal crabs, shrimp, and fish will make a temporary appearance on board in a touch tank.
Captain Amber grew up on these waters and has a passion for the bounty of the Lowcountry. Her graduate degree in Marine Biology allows her to explain the intricacies of the saltmarsh, setting Spartina apart from sightseeing eco-tours.
While here, plan some extra time to walk around the Maritime Center where you can experience dynamic exhibits, discover native sea animals, explore local history and connect with stories of the Port Royal Sound.
