Jasper County will remember the late civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a parade and other weekend festivities in Ridgeland. The parade, presented by the Garden of Light Committee, will begin at 10 a.m. in downtown Ridgeland. After the parade, a worship service will be held at noon at Mt. Carmel Baptist Center.An event at the Palmetto Electric Community Room will be held at 7 pm.m
