Ridgeland ~ Morris Center Gala

Event Details

3rd Annual Morris Center Gala

The Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage will host its third annual Dine, Dance and Discover Gala in its newly renovated event space in downtown Ridgeland. Themed “Come Grow with Us,” the gala will be the first major function held in the center’s expansion which reorients the entrance to Main Street and includes a new multi-function gallery, commercial kitchen and outdoor space.
Attendees will enjoy the current exhibit “Living by the Rails” before being invited into the new event gallery as the first official guests in the space. The evening’s festivities will continue with a cocktail hour, a four-course farm to table dinner created by Chef  Benjamin “BJ” Dennis from locally sourced food, a silent auction, a meet and greet with the chefs, and dancing to live music by Bobby Ryder and his band.
“This year’s gala is extra special because we will host it in our own home, so to speak. In years past, it’s been a challenge to find a beautiful, local space that would allow us to bring in our own chef or caterers. We’re thrilled now to be able to offer that capability to our community. We hope to book the space completely because that means we’re providing a much needed asset to the people of this area and adding to the revitalization of downtown,” says Director Annmarie Reiley-Kay.
