Ridgeland ~ Morris Heritage Center’s Battle of Honey Hill

Join us for a special presentation by Dr. Stephen Wise, director of the Parris Island Museum and the Cultural Resource Manager for the Marine Corps Recruit Depot located at Parris Island, South Carolina. The presentation will consist of a slide show on the entire 1864-1865 Broad River Campaign from the movement of the Union troops to cut the Confederate rail head at Gopher’s Hill, to the battles of Honey Hill, Tulifinney and the eventual capture of Charleston. Dr. Wise will be available afterwards for discussion and a book signing.
