36th Annual Heritage Days Celebration at the Penn Center, St. Helena Island. This year’s theme is A Homecoming Jubilee, “Our Story, Our History Lives”. The historic Penn Center, located on St. Helena Island, South Carolina, is expecting between 8,000—10,000 visitors for this year’s celebration. Visitors from all parts of the country and the world will converge on St. Helena Island to revel in an exciting three-day event that includes food, music, educational seminars, arts and crafts, a parade, and the cultural traditions of the Gullah people.
