ExecutiveΒ Director: Peach Morrison
Peach is a born and bred South Carolinian. She has been with the Commission since March of 2007. Peach grew up in Summerville and attended the College of Charleston. She has worked in the hospitality industry for many more years than she would like to admit. Hurricane Hugo blew her back to school in 1989 and she slowly but surely worked her way back to the coast.
Peach loves the natural beauty of the four county region the commission serves. She lives in Beaufort and loves to fish, boat and play golf.
Director of Online Content Management & Administration:Β Keelie Robinson
Keelie is a South Carolina native and graduate of Clemson University who has lived throughout the state and now calls the Lowcountry home.Β She has over ten years in the southern hospitality industry under her belt and is always ready to greet everyone with a βhey yβallβ and warm smile.
As the Director of Online Content and Administration, Keelie has found her niche in sharing Lowcountry knowledge with others. As an avid outdoorswoman, she loves hiking, camping, kayaking, boating, and traveling.
Director of Visitors’ Center Operations: Roseann Mascarella
Roseann has lived in the Lowcountry most of her adult life, since moving here in 1989.Β As an avid crafter she is very passionate about all things handmade.Β Roseannβs retail experience has varied from selling ice cream to opening a consignment shop.Β She enjoys interacting with the visitors of the Frampton Plantation and learning what brings people to South Carolina.
Former ExecutiveΒ Director: Jim Wescott
Always With Us…
Jim was a resident of the South Carolina Lowcountry for 30 years. ForΒ over 27 years, heΒ was involved with promoting the Lowcountry Tourism Region of South Carolina (Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton & Jasper counties) as a vacation and tourism destination as well as one for retirement/relocation.
He initiated the organization of several special events in the Lowcountry Region and often donated his time and talents to design tee-shirts and programs for some of the area festivals and tournaments, andΒ was involved in several community events in the four-county Lowcountry area.
He had over twenty-one years experience as a volunteer, was a trained river guide for the Edisto River Canoe and Kayak Trail Commission and was an accomplished kayaker and canoeist. He and his wife, Trish, were often found paddling or enjoying the outdoors with their two labs.
UnderΒ his leadership, the Lowcountry Tourism Commission restored a circa 1868 house located just off Interstate 95, Exit 33 at Point South, and it operates the Lowcountry Visitors Center and Museum in the old Frampton Plantation house. In 1998, the Southeast Tourism Society recognized the Lowcountry & Resort Islands Tourism Commission with another Shining Example Award as the Regional Tourism Organization of the Year in the Southeast.
Former Director of Visitors’ Center Operations: Lynn Bristow
Lynn settled in the Lowcountry in 1997 when she moved from England. After spending ten years running her own business in the hospitality industry, she joined the Lowcountry Tourism staff in 2007. After retiring in 2023 she has moved back to England with her African Gray parrot.
