Presented by Ahmad Ward, executive director of the Mitchelville Preservation Project and formerly head of education and exhibitions at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.
Mitchelville represents a jewel within the Gullah/Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor that forms the roots of the African-American’s contribution to the heritage of freedom in America.
The “Dinner & a Lecture” series presented by Historic Beaufort Foundation runs from September through May.
