“BAROQUE WOMEN’S VOICES”, a noontime concert of chamber music will be performed by Spartina Consort on Friday, March 15 at St Helena’s Church, 507 Newcastle St, Beaufort, SC. Group members, Susan Conant (recorder and baroque flute), Marcy Jean Brenner (viola da gamba), David Hunt (viola da gamba, bass soloist), and Julia Harlow (harpsichord) will perform on period instruments. The program will focus on music by Baroque women composers including Princess Anna Amalia of Prussia, Duchess Anna Amalia of Saxe-Weimar, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, and Isabella Leonarda.
