Beaufort Charities Golf Tournament
The annual Spring tournament is the premiere golf event in South Carolina and is played on the weekend following Mothers Day at Fripp Island, South Carolina. Celebrating its 46th year, The Beaufort Charities Invitational is the oldest golf tournament of its kind in South Carolina and the 2nd oldest in the nation. Since our inaugural event in 1976, we have raised over $1.5M in NET proceeds for our local need organizations with 100% of the monies staying in Northern Beaufort County.
Our goal each and every year is to improve our event for the enjoyment of the participants, to offer value to our Sponsors, and to support our immediate community. To say that we are proud to be the oldest non-profit golf tournament in the state of South Carolina is an understatement. Our longevity and continued annual success is a testament to our participants. Our players and their families love our event. They enjoy the golf, the beach and their time together. In addition, we routinely hear from our players that they love the fact we are a “First class golf tournament.” The players relish the opportunity to feel the same nerves on the 1st tee and coming down the stretch that they see the PGA Tour Professionals endure weekly on TV.
Like the PGA Tour, our golf events longevity has afforded us the opportunity to see a multi-generation of familial participants. In 2021, we had 44 teams of fathers, sons, brothers, and relatives competing in our event.
