At the time of the European colonization of the Americas, women were regarded as subservient creatures not as intelligent, rational or wise as men. In spite of the roles allotted to them by society, women played an important part in the European settlement of the Americas. They even managed to rule countries, run businesses and plantations and protect their families. Join us and discover how women managed to accomplish so much in a world that limited their activities.
