He was born on April 5, 1839, in Beaufort South Carolina. Then there was the Martin Luther King, jr., another Dreamer of civil rights for all people. He wrote his famous “I Have A Dream” speech in Beaufort County on Saint Helena Island at Penn Center during the 1960s, and was later assassinated on April 4, 1968.
