On September 11, 2017, the First Annual Songs and Beers for Heroes event will be held at Fat Patties on Bluffton, from 6 to 9 p.m. Local music, local beer, and local folks will help raise funds for our local First Responders. Three live music acts and six local breweries will be showcased that evening. First Responders will eat for free all day, and be served a special Lowcountry Boil during the evening event. All others will pay a $10 admission fee and receive a commemorative pint glass and two 4 oz. tastings from participating breweries. All others can purchase a plate of the boil for $10 that is being donated to the charity.
Fat Patties will also be donating 10% of its food and beverage sales that day to the 200 Club. In addition, the proceeds from the admission fee and all beer tastings will also be donated. A live and silent auction will raise additional funds for the charity. One featured item, a unique hand painted guitar will be auctioned. The guitar was donated by local musician Jordan Ross, and happens to be the first acoustic guitar he owned. It is being painted by local artist Amiri Farris, and will be a one of a kind tribute to 9/11 and our First Responders. The 200 Club will be displaying a 40′ Memorial Wall of our local fallen First Responders.
