Hilton Head ~ A Special Commemorative Revolutionary War Boat Tour

Marking the 251st Anniversary of the Battle of Bloody Point – One of the first large-scale, armed acts of aggression by Patriots vs British forces in the Revolutionary War in South Carolina Leading Beaufort County Revolutionary War historians will narrate a three-hour tour by water to Bloody Point on the southern tip of Daufuskie Island, where Patriot scout boats intercepted and confiscated 16,000 pounds of gunpowder in July 1775. Along the route, the narrative will highlight the Revolutionary War events and locations along the shores of Hilton Head and Daufuskie Island which occurred between 1779 and 1785.
