The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Carlos Chacon on May 26 at 2 pm to speak on the Insect House located here at the museum. Carlos, the Manger of Natural History, will cover the basic nature of insect houses in the Lowcountry, what kind of insects are likely to use it and what is the benefit of adding one to a local garden. The insect house at the Coastal Discovery Museum was added in 2016 and after 5 years now have first-hand experience on the best way to add one to a garden.
This program is $7 for in-person and $5 for virtual and reservations are required by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223. The museum is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.
