Coastal Discovery Museum introduces programs for Preschoolers
The Coastal Discovery Museum is introducing new programs “Wonderful Wings” and “Marsh Critters” as part of our new Preschooler program. Every Tuesday in June through August at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
With “Wonderful Wings” discover the fascinating lives of butterflies from eggs, to caterpillar, to chrysalis, to adult! Explore the Karen Wertheimer Butterfly Habitat with your guide and get an up-close look at all four stages of the butterfly life cycle. Create a simple seed craft to take home and start your own butterfly garden.
With “Marsh Critters” get up-close and hands-on with several marsh critters as your guide shares a fun short story about the many critters you might encounter while spending a day in the salt marsh.
Preschool programs are designed for ages 4-6 and require at least one registered adult. Other family and friends are welcome to register also. Only registered participants will be admitted into the program area. Cost is $10 per child and adult, $5 for additional humans age 3 and up, no fee for ages 2 and under. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223.
The Coastal Discovery Museum is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.
