Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage will usher in spring with a new Backyard Concert 5:30 p.m. March 1.
The free concert features headliners and local duo Nautical Wheelers (Buzz Bonds and Billy Hubbard), performing songs from The Eagles, Jimmy Buffett, The Beatles and more. Gwen Yvette of St. Helena Island will open the show performing original music as well as covering classics by Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and Prince.
The event will be under the sprawling oak in the centerβs βbackyard,β a news release said. The series will continue with planned concerts in the summer and in the fall.
The Taste of ACE food truck from Beaufort-Jasper Academy for Career Excellence will be on-site.
