From a trained physician to a “yarb doctor,” Living Historian Dave Smoot sheds light on the medical practices that would have been found on a 19th-century Lowcountry plantation with an emphasis on treatment of the enslaved. The lecture will take place at the Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage.
