Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage is delighted to
announce its upcoming exhibition, Language of Clay: Catawba Indian Pottery and Oral
Tradition, which will be on view from March 2, 2024 to February 22, 2025. This immersive
exploration of Catawba pottery, curated by the University of South Carolina Lancaster’s Native
American Studies Center, promises to captivate audiences with its profound connection to oral
traditions.
The Lowcountry & Resort Islands Region of South Carolina includes the four, southern-most counties in the state, Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, and Colleton, which are bordered on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the west by the Savannah River and the state of Georgia.
