A Fun-Filled Family Event … featuring historic and cultural activities highlighting aspects of the unique culture and heritage of the South Carolina Lowcountry and its historic underpinnings.  The richness of our English, French, Native American, Scottish and Spanish heritage will be the focus of events, performances, and vendors featuring the arts, food, and activities characteristic of the countries of our ancestors, as well as some that are a uniquely American blend of them all.
Headline Event:  The only Marsh Tacky Races of 2018 with the SC Marsh Tacky Association

This year featuring a History Day for students, Friday November 2nd from 10-2!

 What’s a Country Fair without great food? This year the Lowcountry Fair with Historic Flair will have some of the most amazing vendors in the Lowcountry as we celebrate our unique heritage through food!

From Hank’s famous she crab soup and crab mac-and-cheese, to fresh local oysters from Lady’s Island Oysters and barbeque from Q on Bay, you will satisfy every taste bud while enjoying the Marsh Tacky Horses, Living History Re-enactments and much more!

Don’t miss specialty items like Spanish Paella by Lowcountry Fire and Rice and interesting dishes from Charizas food truck like Carne Frita, Pincho de Pollo, and grilled plantains. Taco Brown food truck will also have their variety of tacos to order, and Beaufort’s own Plum’s will deliver delicious fried and grilled local shrimp, french fries, and shrimp salad rolls.

And it doesn’t end with amazing lunch options – dessert will be just as good! Desserts range from cake pops and gelato by Common Ground, to the most unique and delightful flavors of popsicles imaginable by Motor City Pops. All About That Bean will also be onsite with tasty coffee treats.

Salt Marsh Brewing will provide a sampling of locally brewed beer like the Slo-Country IPA and Tabby Porter. A selection of red and white wine will also be available, so make sure to purchase plenty of food and drink tickets once you arrive for a fun-filled — and yum-filled — day at the Lowcountry Fair on Saturday, November 3 from 11am-5pm.
