Beaufort ~ Halloween Reimagined

This year, Halloween will be celebrated in a re-imagined way to celebrate with the community.
Two fun VIRTUAL contests and a drive-thru trick-o-treating event and a celebration of the joy of reading and building literary skills at a young age!
Guess Who? 
Virtual Halloween Costume Contest – entries accepted October 16- noon on the 26th.
People’s Choice voting on October 26th-30^th.  There will be a 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd place winner in each category:
Kids –    newborn – 12
Kids –    13-17
Adults – 18 +
Pets (all types are eligible)
Dress up, snap a picture, send it in, and you are entered in the contest!  Photos will be accepted from October 16^th – 12 noon on October 26. send your photo to events@cityofbeaufort.org

Virtual Pumpkin Decorating Sponsored by Lowes Home Improvement of Beaufort – entries accepted October 16 –noon on the 26th
People’s Choice voting October 26^th – 30^th.  There will be ONE winner in each category:

Family
Carve, embellish, bling up a pumpkin, snap a photo of it, send it in, and your creation is entered in the contest.  Send your photo to events@cityofbeaufort.org
A LIMITED number (50) of free pumpkins can be picked up to use for the contest.  Pumpkins will be available for pick up 9 am-4 pm Monday thru Friday.    October 16^th – 23^rd, while supplies last.  ONE (1) pumpkin per person/household only.  If you already have a pumpkin or plan to buy one, you are welcome to decorate it and use it to enter the contest. Pumpkins can be picked up @ 500 Carteret St.  Beaufort, SC.    Please call ahead – or email to verify we still have pumpkins available.  Contact: Tara Hodges:  843-379-7519 or   thodges@cityofbeaufort.org
Contest winners will be announced via Facebook Live on Halloween Day, Saturday, October 31.
 
Grab and Go! 
 Drive-thru Trick-o-Treat goodie bag pick up 2-4 pm Halloween Day Saturday, October 31 
Drive-thru one of the following City of Beaufort parks, look for the “goodie bag tent” and receive a to-go bag for your child filled with sweet treats, fun trinkets, and more!
Bags will be distributed at:
Henry C Chambers Waterfront Park marina parking lot area (enter parking lot via Bay St. and Newcastle St.)
Washington St Park – 1003 Washington St
Southside Park – Southside Park Loop
Pigeon Point Park – 1521 Pigeon Point Rd.
