Mitchelville House Lantern Workshop
Make a lantern for the Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade! 100% of the proceeds go to Mitchelville Preservation Project.
The Mitchelville House Lantern Workshop is hosted by Chantelle Rytter for the Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade on November 9, 2019! The lantern parade is a creative community collaboration, and your participation is what makes the magic! Read more about the parade on Culture Hilton Head Island’s website.
These house lanterns are drawings by Chantelle based on photographs of Mitchelville. They are printed on several sheets of cardstock to be cut and assembled on a cardboard base. There is a holder that allows them to be held up in the parade. We would love to see Mitchelville illuminated in the parade. This project is best for kids who have mastered scissors, approximately 7 and up. All materials, light, and batteries included. Tickets are per lantern. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Mitchelville Preservation Project. Please do your best to be on time to enjoy the introduction.
