The S.C. Sea Grant Consortium will host the inaugural Maritime Days
festival on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Port Royal Sound Foundation in Okatie,
S.C. This family-friendly event is free to the public and will showcase the vibrant culture and ecosystem services of
Port Royal Sound, with a focus on marine debris education and prevention.
The Lowcountry & Resort Islands Region of South Carolina includes the four, southern-most counties in the state, Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, and Colleton, which are bordered on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the west by the Savannah River and the state of Georgia.
